Project Updates

Not a huge leap forward this week on Daddest Jokes—still deep in the final editing phase of the Advanced Reader Copy. It’s the part of the process that takes a little extra time and attention, but it’s worth it to make sure everything’s clean, clear, and groan-worthy in all the right ways.

Progress may be slow, but it’s steady. Every little tweak gets the book closer to being print-ready. Hopefully next week brings that final push to the finish line!

Book Review: Stay Until Tomorrow – A Poetic Journey of Resilience

I recently had the pleasure of hosting Meghan A. Patricia Wentworth—author of Stay Until Tomorrow: Poems—on my podcast, and our conversation about her debut collection left a lasting impression. Her strength and vulnerability shine through in every line, and reading the book right after our talk deepened my appreciation for her work.

Stay Until Tomorrow, published April 4, 2025, is a deeply autobiographical exploration of trauma, grief, healing, and hope. Meghan doesn’t shy away from her story. As noted by Diana Whitney, the poems are “profoundly healing for survivors”. These honest lines tackle some of life’s hardest moments—loss, PTSD, anxiety—yet carry a gentle resilience that offers solace rather than overwhelm.

What I admired most—both on the podcast and in the pages—is Meghan’s conversational tone. She writes as if she’s sitting beside you, quietly guiding you through memory and emotion. Poems like “This House” are especially powerful, tracing the fragile journey from brokenness to rebuildingIt’s a book that doesn’t just tell you what happened—it invites you to feel it and to emerge with the poet.

If you’ve ever needed reassurance that darkness can give way to light, Stay Until Tomorrow is your companion. Meghan’s courage and eloquence are a balm, a reminder that sharing our stories can be the beginning of renewal. I feel privileged to have had that conversation with her—and still more moved to share her words.

Personal Update: Progress, Remembrance, and Rainy Celebrations

This week was a mix of productivity, reflection, and community connection. On the technical side, we made good headway with some much-needed engineering work at the station—those behind-the-scenes upgrades that keep everything running smoothly.

June 5th was a somber day, marking my little brother’s birthday. It’s been nine years since he passed, and while the day always brings a wave of emotion, I try to spend it remembering the good moments and honoring his memory in small, meaningful ways.

On a brighter note, we’re continuing to make steady progress with the paper’s expansion. We’re now holding steady at 20 pages—something that hasn’t happened since early 2022—and we’re expanding into a couple more towns, which is exciting. It’s been great seeing the reach grow bit by bit.

We also had a remote broadcast this past Saturday for Bradford, Vermont’s Globefest. It rained for most of the day (because of course it did), but even with the weather, it was a great time. Lots of community spirit, good energy, and the kind of small-town celebration that makes all the setup worthwhile.
