ALWAYS POSTED A WEEK EARLIER ON PATREON

Podcast Updates

On Tuesday, I was excited to have back with us the internationally acclaimed and award-winning fantasy authors Dan and Robert Zangari.

They came to talk with us about their live Kickstarter, The Dark Necromancer: Book Two of Tales of the Amulet.  It was very exciting to see that they doubled their goal within the first day of the campaign.

This father and son author team is so fun to talk to, as they have an amazing amount of stories and advice for their fans and other authors.

On Thursday, We had with us, the internationally celebrated Children’s book author and Autism awareness advocate, Nicole Latimer!

She came to talk about her newest book ‘Need A Friend?: Learning To Sign With Rennon’

Project Updates

This past week was spent fighting with the Kindle Direct automated program to ensure that the file for the book is right for printing.  The cover size has not been right, and the book spine alignment has been off, so hopefully, I will get a green light this weekend so can order an author copy to see how the book turns out.

What I’m reading

This past week my Kickstarter pledge from Caleb Palmquist came in the mail.  Issue 1 of ‘Vampire Detective in Space’

It was a fun read and one thing that Caleb is good at too is making sure the title is reflecting what the story is about.  Issue one gives the reader a taste of where the overall story is going while throwing in an engaging origin story of the main character along with the origin story of the world he has created.

He leaves us hanging with a mystery yet to be solved, so I am very excited to read issue 2 now. Caleb is a great storyteller, and his skills grow with every issue he puts out.

Personal Updates

My weight loss journey continues.  This week I am safely at the 187-pound mark.

Work took a huge priority this week as we worked on our agency re-designation paperwork.  Vermont is a small state and almost everything here is about relationships, so providing good service for clients is key, but paramount to ensuring that this high-quality work is recognized, I learned that having sustaining good communication is necessary.

We are extremely close to finally being in an endemic state for COVID 19, and until we can get our toddler vaccinated, we are still a bit cautious.  In this part of Vermont, we are at low transmission rates, and I am hopeful that with the new Omicron sub-variant that our caseload numbers will still be unaffected.

wait a sec… you can buy cassettes again?

early spring fun
