What truly sets "So-Called Living" apart is its art. The comic is a visual feast, with full-color illustrations that bring Jack and his world to life with a vibrancy that leaps off the page. The artistry is reminiscent of a supernatural "Friends" ensemble, where each character, from werewolves to surprisingly menacing bunnies, is rendered with detail and expressiveness that adds depth to the storytelling

"Binky, the Space Cat" is a captivating graphic novel with a concise yet touching narrative. From the perspective of Binky, an endearing feline protagonist, we embark on a thrilling adventure to protect his beloved family from pesky alien invaders. Through Binky's determination and courage, young readers are introduced to themes of bravery, loyalty, and the power of imagination.

Rafael’s art was reminiscent of some of the classic newspaper comic strips and had a warm and adventurous storyline.

It wasn’t until I was halfway through the story that I noticed that it was the second book in a series, but one does not have to read the first book, ‘Giants Beware’ to enjoy this book.

I particularly loved that it was heartfelt and funny, and I could tell that Dan and Jason had an enjoyable time making the book.  This is what stands out for me.  The sheer joy and humor in the book made it engaging.

I backed Stephanie Nina Pitsirilos’ Kickstarter a couple of months ago, ‘Zine100: How Not to Be Colonized By Outreach Programs’. It was a fun and educational mini-zine that was handmade by Stephanie. Her passion and experience in community-based health advocacy are apparent and appreciated in the booklet. She tackles a challenging subject that is also not widely known with an approachable and accessible narrative and art style.
