Project Update: Daddest Jokes Draft Assembled!
Big milestone—Daddest Jokes has been put together again, and it’s now over 500 pages long! It’s wild to see just how much dad joke goodness is packed into this book.
I’m still debating whether or not to launch it through Kickstarter. While crowdfunding can be a great way to drum up excitement, it also takes a lot of time and effort with a pretty uncertain return on investment. So, I’m weighing my options and figuring out the best way to bring this book to life.
No matter what, the book is moving forward, and I can’t wait to get it out there. Stay tuned for more updates!
Father to Daughter: A Must-Read Guide for Every Dad Raising a Girl
As a father of two wonderful daughters, ages 10 and 8, Father to Daughter has been an absolute gem. It’s a small book, but it’s packed with timeless wisdom, humor, and practical advice that any dad can appreciate. What I love most about it is how easy it is to pick up at any time—whether I have just a few minutes or want to reflect on something deeper. Each page offers a short but meaningful insight, reminding me of the importance of being present, supportive, and, sometimes, just knowing when to listen.
The book doesn’t just focus on the big milestones; it emphasizes the little things that truly make a difference in a father-daughter relationship. From teaching respect and resilience to simply enjoying the magic of childhood, it covers all the moments that shape our bond with our daughters. It’s not a parenting manual, but rather a collection of reminders that help keep things in perspective.
Whether you’re a new dad or a seasoned parent, this book is a must-have. It makes a fantastic gift and is one of those books you’ll find yourself returning to again and again. Highly recommend for any dad raising a daughter!
Personal Update: Progress, Planning, and Family Time
This past week was a mix of strategic planning, staff support, and making steady progress on projects at home. I’ve been really focused on refining our direction at the station, and I have to say—I’m incredibly happy with my team right now. Everyone is stepping up, and it feels great to have such a strong group in place.
On the side, I played some catch-up with eBay and continued chipping away at cleaning out the basement. The washer and dryer move is still in progress, but little by little, it’s coming together.
Most importantly, I got to spend some quality time with the kids. We played board games, laughed a lot, and continued our Ghostbusters movie marathon. It’s been a fun way to wind down after long days, and I’m soaking up every moment.
Overall, a solid week—busy but fulfilling!
