ALWAYS POSTED A WEEK EARLIER ON PATREON

Podcast Updates

This was the first time in a long time that I was able to only have one show this week.  When I first started ‘Storycomic Presents’, Thursdays was the day, but as the request for guests increased, I was able to open up Tuesdays to the schedule as well.

This past Thursday, I was excited to have with us the talented creative team of Fugitive Poems Comics,  Christian De Matteo and James Lines!

James was having some connection issues, so the bulk of the show was Christian.  It was a fun talk and I am excited to have them back on again in the future.

Project Updates

This past week, I decided to evolve a bit technologically speaking.  For the longest time, I have been keeping my documents saved as Microsoft Word files, and keeping them on my dropbox so I can access them in multiple locations.

After listening to the advice of a few of my past show guests, I decided to start doing some outlining of my roleplaying game on a google doc.

Now I am asking myself, why I have not used google docs before.  I am starting to see the appeal.

What I’m reading

This past week I continued reading with the girls more Oz books.  It has been so long since we started it, that I will probably start over again in reading the entire series.  So far we got to book six.

What the girls have been doing as I read the stories, is that they follow along with the Eric Shanower and Skottie Young Oz Omnibus.  It is a hard-cover beast that is over 1000 pages long.  Needless to say, it’s a bit too heavy to sit on a preschooler’s lap, but she insisted on being in charge of turning the pages.

It is amazing to see how true to the story that Shanower is in a comic format, and Young’s art is beautiful, personalized, and true to the imagination of how the characters are described.  It is clear that the creative team is avid fans of L Frank Baum’s work.

Personal Updates

This past Sunday was my 9th wedding anniversary.  I am consistently and constantly reminding myself of my gratitude for having such an amazing wife.  She is supportive, creative, and keeps me humble.

On the weight loss front, I am now at around 196 pounds.  Three more pounds until I hit my 30-pound loss mark!  I am very excited.  I have not been this healthy in years.

Our 5 and 7-year old received their first shot this past Wednesday; which is the beginning of a big weight of stress off our shoulders.

First Snow or Heavy Frost? Either way, the cold is here!
