Podcast Updates
This past Thursday, I interviewed Jay Mooers for my Episode 49. Jay Mooers, is the acclaimed writer and illustrator of the Eden Park Tales universe. I read his first trade paperback, which makes up issues 1 through 5 of Autumn Grey and really fell in love with the story. It was fun chatting with him about how he made the book and what his plans are for future installments.

What I’m reading
I took a journey through my bookshelf again and re-discovered “Tick: The Naked City”. I haven’t read that in probably 20 years or so. It’s still a fun book to read. It’s amazing to see all the new IPs that came after that were inspirations of what Ben Edlund made. Granted, the bumbling and oblivious superhero wasn’t created by Ben, but he popularized it.
Personal Updates
I remembered my father telling me a few years ago when I bought my house that homeowners will always have something to do. This week was a great example of that. With some of the money I made from my eBay adventures, I bought a replacement central vacuum unit. Our old one started to smoke and make funny noises. I spent all day on Saturday installing it.
Also, our two daughters have dressers that are falling apart so I spent the week putting them together.
Also… earlier this week I bought a weighted blanket and I love it. I definitely recommend it for anyone.
Wasn’t a long time to install, just complicated
