ALWAYS POSTED A WEEK EARLIER ON PATREON

Navigating Changes and Planning Ahead

This week, we experienced a couple of cancellations for our scheduled podcast interviews. While these things happen and are part of the dynamic nature of running a podcast, it does mean a slight shift in our usual programming. I appreciate your understanding and patience as we navigate these changes.

Slowing Down for the Season

As we approach the end of the year, it's typical for the podcast to slow down a bit. This period allows us to reflect on the past year's content, gather feedback, and start planning for the upcoming season. It's a valuable time for us to recharge and come back with fresh ideas and exciting content for our listeners.

Despite the slowdown, I'm actively working on scheduling new guests for the 2024 season of the podcast. I'm reaching out to a diverse range of potential interviewees, ensuring that we continue to bring you engaging, informative, and entertaining conversations. The process is always exhilarating, and I'm excited about the prospects and possibilities for the next season.

Looking Forward

As we wrap up this year, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your continued support and engagement with the podcast. Your feedback, suggestions, and enthusiasm are what drive this show, and I'm committed to making the 2024 season even more impactful and enjoyable for all of you.

Stay tuned for more updates, and in the meantime, I wish you all a wonderful holiday season filled with joy and relaxation.

Project Updates

I'm thrilled to announce that the variant covers for our latest project are now available for purchase! This marks a significant milestone in our journey, and I'm excited to share these unique and beautifully crafted editions with you. The fulfillment of these final parts of the Kickstarter campaign is underway, and I'm committed to ensuring that each of you receives your chosen variant cover promptly.

As we wrap up this phase of the project, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your support and patience throughout this process. Your enthusiasm and feedback have been instrumental in bringing this project to life, and I'm incredibly proud of what we've accomplished together.

Looking ahead, I'm excited to shift my focus to the upcoming 'Daddest Jokes' project. This new venture is shaping up to be a delightful and entertaining collection, perfect for sharing laughs and smiles. I'm targeting a launch around Father's Day next year, aiming to make it a special and timely addition to your bookshelves.

The journey from concept to completion for 'Daddest Jokes' is already proving to be a fun and creative process. I'm pouring my passion and humor into every page, and I can't wait to share the final product with you. Stay tuned for more updates, sneak peeks, and behind-the-scenes glimpses as we progress towards the launch.

Once again, thank you for your continued support and for being a part of this creative journey. Your involvement makes all the difference, and I'm looking forward to bringing more joy and laughter into your lives with 'Daddest Jokes.'

Review: "Cracked" by Jim Barry - A Resilient Journey Through Adversity

"Cracked" by Jim Barry, published by Rootstock Publishing, is a compelling narrative that transcends the boundaries of a typical memoir. It's a profound exploration of resilience, adaptability, and the enduring strength of the human spirit in the face of life-altering adversity. Jim Barry, once a successful nuclear engineer, shares his journey of recovery and reinvention following a catastrophic mountain biking accident that left him with a traumatic brain injury.

Barry's story is marked by a brutal honesty that lays bare the realities of his new life. From the initial shock and confusion in the aftermath of his accident to the painstaking process of rehabilitation, Barry's narrative is both heart-wrenching and inspiring. His background as an engineer is evident in his methodical approach to recovery, blending analytical precision with deep emotional introspection.

What sets "Cracked" apart is Barry's unflinching willingness to confront the challenges head-on. He doesn't gloss over the frustrations, the pain, or the profound changes in his life. Instead, he faces them with a remarkable blend of grit and grace. His journey is a powerful testament to the resilience of the human spirit, underscored by the unwavering support of his family and the medical community.

Having had the pleasure of hosting Jim Barry on my podcast, I was struck by his genuine passion for storytelling and his ability to engage listeners with his experiences. His narrative is not just a personal account; it's a source of inspiration and hope for anyone facing seemingly insurmountable challenges.

"Cracked" is more than just a memoir; it's a guide to finding strength in vulnerability and embracing life's challenges with resilience and optimism. Barry's journey, as presented in this beautifully written book, encourages readers to persevere through adversity and to recognize the potential for growth and transformation in every challenge.

In "Cracked," Jim Barry offers not just his story, but a beacon of hope, demonstrating that even in the darkest moments, the human spirit can not only endure but also thrive. This book is a must-read, offering valuable insights and inspiration to all its readers.

Learning More and Festive Cheer

Each day at the radio station brings new learning experiences, and I'm happy to report that I'm getting more comfortable with the rhythm of things. There's a certain satisfaction in seeing all the pieces come together, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to grow in this role.

First Radio Advertising Package Sold

In a significant milestone for me, I've officially sold my first radio advertising package! The client is a local floral design company, and I'm thrilled to be supporting local businesses while expanding the station's reach. It's a win-win situation, and I'm looking forward to more such collaborations in the future.

Vermont Association of Broadcasters Annual Gala

Recently, my wife and I attended the Vermont Association of Broadcasters annual gala. It was an incredible experience, filled with networking and reconnecting with familiar faces from television. It's amazing to be part of such a vibrant community, and the event was a fantastic opportunity to learn and be inspired.

The Christmas Shopping Season

As we move deeper into the holiday season, I'm reminded of the importance of community, connection, and the little joys that make life meaningful. Here's to a wonderful holiday season filled with warmth, laughter, and cherished moments.
